General MFPC Examination Policies & Procedures

1. Entry Requirement

a) RFP/Shariah RFP Module 1-Module 6: Minimum Requirement is Degree or its equivalent (with a full pass); Effective1 January 2020.

b) RFP/Shariah RFP Module 7: only applicable for MFPC Associate Member.

c) RFP/Shariah RFP Capstone: Minimum Requirement ;

i. Minimum 3 years full time working experience in a financial related industry AND

ii. RFP, Shariah RFP, ChFC, CFP, IFP, CIFP (Part 1) OR

iii. Members of MIA, MICPA, CPA (Aust), ACCA, Bar Council, ICSA, MAICSA, CIMA, ASM, CTIM OR

iv. Relevant PhD, Masters or Bachelors’ Degree or its equivalent.

*MFPC reserves the right to request for the original certificate for verification as and when necessary.

2. Examination Registration

a) New programme/examination registration.

    • Programme/Examination Registration is via 1st MFPC portal with the entrance fee, membership annual subscription, and the applicable registration fee before the Examination closing date.
    • MFPC may decline acceptance of application when fee is omitted.

b) MFPC member; programme/examination registrations in the same year/following year

    • Programme/Examination Registration is via 1st MFPC portal with the any applicable fee before the Examination closing date.
    • Members who have discontinued their membership are prohibited from registering for the RFP and/or Shariah RFP Examinations.
    • MFPC may decline acceptance of application or resubmission when fee is omitted.

3. Withdrawal, cancelation and postponement of examinations are not permissible and no refund is available after the Examination Closing date. MFPC reserves the right to REJECT exam registration if candidate fail to full fill MFPC Examination Guidelines.

4. The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) is the examination provider for the MFPC examinations.

5. Examination Schedule

a)Examination schedule and centre will be publish at MFPC website mfpc.org.my by end of November every year.

b)Examination will not be conducted on a National or State Public Holiday and MII/MFPC reserves the right to make changes as and when necessary.

6. Effective1 January 2020, MFPC examination(s) are using Computer Based Examination mode via physical and virtual platform; EXCEPT for Module 7 is using Paper & Paper Examination mode via physical platform.

7. Candidate is advised to read carefully all the instructions stipulated in the Examination Guidelines and Project Paper Guidelines.

8. Examination results

a)Result can be obtain via MFPC portal (1st MFPC) and MII portal (iLMS). Please refer examination schedule for the tentative date result. No notification email will send prior to result release date, thus candidate are requested to monitor the examination schedule.

b)For RFP /Shariah Module 1 to module 6, the result is immediate after the examination and only available 5 working days at 1stMFPC portal.

c)For RFP/Shariah RFP module 7 and Capstone, the result is only available after 80 working days upon submission of the project paper at 1st MFPC portal and MFPC will notify candidate for any delay of result.
